A Stained Glass Romance
5 Piece Metalcore band from Statesville NC (near Charlotte NC). Started in 2000, broke up for awhile then got back together in early 2006, to record their new ep "The Romance Revival". Members of ASGR were also in "Aria" (Tribunal records). Sponsored by "Dead Bodies Don't Drown".
In the year 2005, A Stained Glass Romance re-formed itself from the ashes of ARIA, Winter Solstice, Stronghold and Splitcast. Combining over a decade of experience and sharing the stage with bands like Underoath, Between the Buried and Me, Every Time I Die, Atreyu, Hatebreed and Bleeding Through, ASGR has returned to re-claim what they started over five years ago.
Quoted as the metal-core gods back from the grave, A Stained Glass Romance has vigorously toured the past year securing thousands of new fans across the nation and simultaneously gaining back respect once thought lost in the overburdened North Carolina Hardcore scene. Playing with bands like Job for a Cowboy, Animosity, Goatwhore and Cattle Decapitation, ASGR has steadily gained an unswerving fan-base untapped by the current trends in hardcore.
Their independent endeavors include ARIA, Dirty South Revolutionaries, Daylight Tragedy, and Winter Solstice among others. After three years together, A Stained Glass Romance released their first recording in 2003 on Four Leaf Recordings. Recorded in the basement studio of Chris Kincaid (oneamazinkid, hopesfall), The Most Hated Ep gained the band a cult-like following early on with tracks like “Hurts Worse With a Spoon” and “Sixty-Six Bound Malibu”.
Current members include Scott (vocals), Mitch (guitar), Bill (bass), Taddeo (guitar) and Lance (drums).
